30-year-old lady requires N10m for kidney transplant

Life has become misery for 30-year-old Gloria Tochi Mbonu, who was diagnosed with an End Stage Kidney disease, now requires N10 million for transplant at an India hospital.

Mbonu, a graduate of Biology from Benue State University, Markurdi, hails from Orlu in Imo State but resides with her mother, Mrs Nidid Mbonu at Isheri-Osun, Ikotun, Lagos.
Her mother, a widow with five children, said all her family earnings had been expended on her daughter’s treatment while the building material business she was running had closed up.
She said: “My husband died in 1996, when Gloria was only eight years old.
Her brothers and I have been spending money on her treatment since December. Sometimes we also receive help from people but all the money has gone into over 40 sessions’ dialysis, which we run twice a week at Clinic Healthcare at Anthony, Lagos.” Ndidi narrated how it all started.
She said: “In December 2014, I sent her to the bank, there she fell down and collapsed. When we brought her home, she started convulsing. I took her to one hospital at Iyana Isheri, they said it was malaria and typhoid.
