KIDNAPPING AND MILITANCY WILL BE OF THE PAST IN SOUTH SOUTH-POLICE

As parts of the efforts to find a lasting solution to reported cases of militancy and sea pirates’ attacks in the South-South region of Nigeria, the Nigeria police under the IGP Solomon Arase Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 6 Command, Tunde Ogunsakin has scored a big point in the region.

In an effort to boost the IGP's effective security fight against militancy and kidnapping in the South- South region, the zone 6 police command on saturday took delivery of a brand new surveillance helicopter.

The helicopter, which was received by  Ogunsakin, is fitted with modern communication gadgets to aid effective surveillance in the creeks.

This comes on the heels of a recent pact by the command and sister security agencies within the zone to form a security joint task force to checkmate security threat in the area.

While describing the helicopter’s arrival as a welcome development, the AIG applauded Arase, over his commitment to ensure peace and security in the zone.

Ogunsakin, who was visibly elated over the development promised to chase kidnappers out of the zone. While emphasizing the importance of a joint security operation, Ogunsakin assured that the security forces would deploy technologically-driven and action able intelligence to actualize their common goal in policing the zone.
The five seater capacity surveillance helicopter, according to him, will go a long way to reinforce the command’s war arsenal.
