IG orders audit of police units

In line with is determination to transform the police, the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, last weekend sent a delegation to visit officers and men of the Force Headquarters Annex, Kamselem, Obalende, Lagos State.

The delegation was led by a deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Mr Dan’azumi Doma. The IG was said to have mandated the delegation to inspect facilities in various structures and infrastructural decay at the annex.

The delegation also visited old Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) located on Alagbon Close, Ikoyi.
A source in the delegation said the visit was not only connected with IG’s plan to give facelift to the old force headquarters, but to see to the challenges confronting the officers and personnel.

The Doma delegation arrived FCID office in company with the Commissioner of Police in charge of Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), Mr Kola Shodipo and other senior officers.

They were conducted round various sections by the officer in charge of X-squad, Mr Adeoye Oyelola, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
