Today witnessed the renewing of an MoU earlier signed between the Nigeria Police and authorities of Novena University Ogume, Delta State in January, 2014.

This renewal became necessary due to the desire of the Police boss to equip Police officers with surpassing knowledge that will put them ahead of criminals, in fields such as intelligence and security studies.

This renewal came as the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase  played host to management team of Novena University led by Prof. A. A. Osakwe (Director of Academic Planning).

The MoU signed in 2014 will among other things offer opportunities to deserving officers to study security related courses at a subsidized rate.

IGP in his remarks pledged commitment of the Nigeria Police to implementing the MoU, as Novena University offers rare courses in intelligence studies which is crucial in 21st century policing.
