Unable to repay a loan he took from a micro-finance bank, a
middleaged man, Adekola Bushari, yesterday committed suicide in Osogbo,
the Osun State capital.
The incident happened at Number 3, Olatunji
Ajayi Street, Oke Onitea area, of the town. A witness said Bushari tied a
rope to the ceiling fan in his sitting room and hanged himself.
The widow, Bidemi, wept uncontrollably while rolling on the ground.
She said: “I was the one who discovered the body of my husband dangling
on the ceiling fan of our sitting room about 5am when I woke up from
sleep. I immediately called for help.
