Police raid criminal hideouts, arrest 35 in FCT

Policemen attached to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, have arrested about 35 suspected criminals. 

The suspects were picked from different areas of the FCT. The raid commenced after the police got intelligence reports about the activities of some kidnappers and rapists in the territory. Some of the areas are Gwagwalada, Kubwa and Gwarinpa.
During the raid, police apprehended 15 persons, hawking fuel. It was gathered that immediately the FCT Commissioner of Police, Mr Wilson Inalegwu, got the information about some of the suspects, he instructed his men to go after them. 
The policemen were said to have also arrested 14 suspected criminals who specialised in removing cars from parks. 
The suspects are presently being held by operatives of the Analytical Tracking and Interception Centre (ATIC).
