The suspect, Mrs Adebola Adebowale, allegedly stole the baby on June 13, circumcised him, shaved his hair and named him at a well-organised ceremony in Ifo.
The baby was named Malik Adeyemi Adebowale. Adebola had taken delivery of the baby at Arogun village in Ewekoro Local Government Area, but lied to the baby’s mother that she had a stillbirth. But about two months after stealing the baby, police detectives arrested the sus-pect on Friday and recovered the baby alive.
Police investigation revealed that the suspect is a mother of seven who had issues with her initial marriage and got married to another ‘rich’ man, whom she wanted to have at least a baby for.
