Nurse steals new-born baby to impress rich husband

A nurse, identified as Titilayo Adebola, has been arrested for allegedly stealing a new-born baby boy after taking his delivery at Arogun village in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The nurse, who reportedly owns a “private hospital” in the village, was apprehended on Friday by police detectives attached to Ewekoro Division of the state police command.
The suspect had taken delivery of the baby on June 13 but allegedly lied to the mother that she had a stillbirth. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed this in a statement made available to journalists yesterday, said detectives recovered the baby alive and unhurt. According to Adejobi, the nurse was arrested when the mother of the baby got reliable information and immediately informed the police.
The PPRO added that sympathisers in the community noticed that Adebola was never pregnant but suddenly started nursing a baby that she could not even breastfeed. He said: “The nurse, who took the delivery of the baby in the hospital on 13th June, 2015, had lied and deceived the mother that she had a stillbirth, was arrested by the police when the mother got reliable information and immediately informed the police. “The good sympathisers in the community noticed that the nurse, who was never pregnant suddenly started nursing a baby that she could not even breastfeed.
