Graduate fraudster’s wealth stuns police

Police in Oyo State have apprehended a graduate of Accounting from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, who had allegedly robbed victims of their valuables through internet fraud. 

The prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Babatunde Fatai, was arrested by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) at his Ogbomosho hideout. 
He had once been arrested for robbery and arraigned but was released on bail.
According to the statement by the police, the suspect, in whose custody different posh cars including one Honda CRV car with registration number KWL 280 CN, a Nissan Altima car with registration number KJA 963 CA and one Ford car with registration number KRD 837 DQ were recovered, was said to have specialised in internet fraud, having successfully hacked into bank accounts of several innocent victims both in Nigeria and abroad. 
Other items recovered from Fatai, according to the Police Commissioner, Mr Leye Oyebade, included a Toyota Camry car with registration number LSR 418 DJ and N2.4 million cash.
