The dog, which belonged to one Olafingbesote Afolabi, allegedly attacked Aladenoye last week in the hilly town of Alade-Idanre inflicting on her severe injuries which eventually led to her death.
An eye witness said the dog ran after the woman and bite her for no obvious reason. The witness said it took the intervention of neighbours before the woman could be liberated from the grip of the dog. However, the fate of the dog could not be ascertained while its owner was arrested by the police.
According to him, the victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo where all attempts made by the medical personnel to save her life proved abortive.
