The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control
(NAFDAC) has discovered an illegal factory loaded with various expired
condiments.
The condiments were revalidated and changed to a popular
brand name to attract patronage.
The agency also arrested a 24-year-old man, Mr Victor Okeke, in
connection with the expired products worth millions of naira. This is
sequel to a special raid and enforcement operation in some markets in
Lagos by NAFDAC’s Investigation and Enforcement Directorate.
The factory, which was originally a one-room shop, was used to stock
and revalidate expired food products, particularly food condiments.
