Barely 24 hours after being sworn in as the Caretaker Committee
Chairman for Jos East Local Government Area, Hon. Hosea Azi, has been
brutally killed along with four of his suspected abductors.
Azi and four of the kidnappers were said to have been involved in a ghastly motor accident around Keffi in Nasarawa State.
The car in which they were travelling was damaged beyond repairs.
Azi was kidnapped by unknown gunmen at his residence in Jos South Local Government Area after leaving office.
His car was later abandoned at Rantya State Low Cost.
The Eagle Online learnt that Azi, who was appointed and sworn-in on Friday
by the Plateau State Governor, Barrister Simon Lalong, in recognition
of his contributions to the victory of the All Progressives Congress in
Plateau State in the last general election.
