Six corpses of unknown ladies retrieved from canal

Homicide detectives, attached to the Lagos State Police Command, have started investigating the bodies of six women found floating in a canal at Ikorodu area of the metropolis.

The Police Spokesman, Joseph Offor, who confirmed the incident yesterday, said that the command was already trying to unravel the circumstances that may have led to the death of the women.
Offor said: “We don’t know the identity of the women yet. The women decomposing corpses were found in a canal at Anibaba area, off Akele Street, Ikorodu, at about 3.30 p.m. on Sunday. We have not yet made any arrest in relation to the incident.”
Offor urged Lagosians to report to the nearest police station if any of their relations were missing.
The image maker further noted that officials of the Lagos State Environmental Agency have removed the bodies to a mortuary.
