Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), an umbrella body of female doctors, Ebonyi State branch, yesterday said it was duped by fraudsters.
The President of MWAN, Dr Thecla Ezeonu, disclosed this at Ndiebor Ishieke Community Primary School, Abakaliki, during inauguration of projects in the school constructed by the association. Ezeonu said the fraudsters – Water and Horticulture Development – came to the union and requested that it should be awarded the projects to execute.
She said: “In the course of (executing) these projects, we got into the hands of fraudsters by the name Water and Horticulture Development said to be managed by Community Borehole Development Assistance Programme and Nigerian Houses and Environment Sanitation and Protection Programme led by one Dominic Essien.
