A 40-year- old business woman, Christiana Owulo, was on Thursday
arraigned in a Makurdi Magistrates’ Court for allegedly killing her
boyfriend, Ladoga Onah.
Owulo was charged with criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide,
punishable under Sections 97 and 225 of the Penal Code Laws of Benue,
2004.
The prosecutor, Insp. Terzungwe Kajo, told the court that the case
was transferred from the Divisional Police Headquarters, Oju, on August
28, 2015 to the CID, Makurdi, via a letter.
According to the letter, the deceased’s brother, Johnson Onah, reported the matter at the Oju Police Station on August 20, 2015.
The complainant told the police that his 30-year -old brother was murdered by unknown persons.
He explained that they found his brother’s corpse at the Oju market square, reports the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The prosecution explained that the accused was a girlfriend of the deceased.
