Man in attempted suicide, cuts own penis

A 67-year-old man, Mallam Yaro Manu, has reportedly attempted to take his life by cutting his penis. 

The incident occurred on August 28 at Kofar Dindi in Brinin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State. Manu, who has two wives, was said to have woken up early in the morning of the fateful day and was crying he had no money.
He later attempted to commit suicide by using a sharp knife to cut his penis. According to a family source, who described Manu as his uncle, the man was alone in his room at the time. The source explained that his uncle was seen by one of his sons who returned from the farm. He said: “My uncle would have killed himself.
It was God that said he would still be alive now. He was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Birnin Kebbi, for medical treatment. Manu’s friend, who gave his name as Mallam Umar, said “as a Muslim you need to have faith in whatever situation you found yourself ”.
