IGP TASKS MOPOL COMMANDERS ON PROFESSIONALISM AND STRICT SUPERVISION OF THEIR MEN

 
·       Warns against illegal deployment to persons and corrupt practices


The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase,at the official passing out ceremony of the Police Mobile Force Unit Commanders conversion course held at PMF Training College Ila Oragun, Osun State tasked the newly passed out PMF Unit Commanders to make supervision and total control of their policemen very seriously with a view to avoiding vicarious liability.


 The IGP also mandated them to do away with illegal deployment of their men to unauthorized persons or beats, reiterating the need to be civil to members of the public in the course of carrying out their duties and ensuring zero tolerance for corruption.

 

A total number of one hundred and ninety-six (196) police officers have been undergoing intensive training in combat operations, ethics, personnel management, musketry, human rights, fire arms laws and regulations among other things aimed at equipping them to become effective and efficient Unit Commanders.
