Tragedy struck on Tuesday at Old Road along Aduwawa in Ikpoba-Okha
Local Government Area of Edo State, when some hoodlums reportedly
attacked and killed a yet-to-be identified man for allegedly hacking a
suspected robber to death.
The incident was said to have occurred at
a hotel, popularly known as Popori Centre, which reportedly houses
commercially sex workers, located off College Road, within a community
said to be dominated by northerners.According to a source in the area, trouble started at the bar of the hotel when a brawl ensued between the deceased and some men as they tried to dispossess him of some amount of money.
It was learnt that the Fulani man, sensing danger, allegedly
brought out a dagger and stabbed one of the men in the stomach, who died
minutes later.
