I take solace in God –Electrocuted UNILAG student’s father

  • FG probes death, body leaves for Enugu

Barring last minute change, the body of the student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Oluchi Anikwe, who was on Tuesday electrocuted on the campus will today be moved to Enugu for burial.

This is also as her younger sister, a 200-level medical student of the university, Obianuju Anikwe, who was also affected by the fallen electricity cable, is presently being treated at an undisclosed hospital.
The father of the deceased, Chief Basil Anikwe, told our correspondent yesterday that he was devastated by Oluchi’s death.
He, however, expressed happiness that the late 300-level Accounting student was not returning from a social function but from a church service when she died.
Anikwe said as the head of the family, he had taken it as an accident and as a sign that God was only being fair to Oluchi by removing her from the world of sins shortly after leaving church. The employee of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), said as a strong believer in God, the family would be taking the body to Aku village in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State for burial.
