The Campaign for Democracy (CD) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari
and the new Comptroller General of Customs to as a matter of urgency,
investigate the corrupt activities of officers of the Nigeria Customs
Service operating in the Southeast.
The organisation also urged the President to totally overhaul the
leadership of the NCS in the zone over alleged impunity and abuse of
office.
The CD in a statement signed by its Southeast Chairman, Dede Uzor. A.
Uzor, stated that the current crop of Customs officers serving in the
Southeast have dented the image of the Service.
