Police have discovered a £25m drug stash in a flat freezer in what they described as a “massive” haul.
Specialist organised crime officers found 150kg of white power – thought
to be mephedrone and amphetamine – in the south Liverpool flat after
tailing a car from a tyre-fitting centre where drugs had been found.
Police uncovered 24,000 ecstasy tablets and 4kg of cocaine, some of
which had been hidden in a tyre, during a routine patrol there, reports
Sky News.
Detective Superintendent Jason Hudson, who heads the organised crime
unit, said: “This is a massive seizure of what is estimated to be more
than 160kg kilos of what we believe are Class A and B drugs – we think
we could be looking at drugs with a total street value of £25m.
