A seven month- old boy, Raphael Adewale, died in a fire incident on New Year day, at the Ijanikin area of Lagos State.
The fire
claimed several lives, especially children. Raphael was youngest among kids that died.
According to the state Director of Fire Service, Mr Rasak Fadipe,
the seven-month-old baby was in the room when the fire started.
Fadipe, who spoke on the phone, added that the little boy had already
died before help could come from neighbours.
He said: “His father had
gone to the church before the incident. His mother was cooking in the
room when the kerosene stove she was using exploded. "
