IGP PLAYS HOST TO REPRESENTATIVES OF ASSOCIATION OF LUXURIOUS BUS OWNERS (ALBO)



·         Pledges sustained security for operators of luxurious Bus Nationwide

   
The commitment of IGP Solomon E Arase to ensure safety of Nigerian travelers received greater impetus today, when the IGP played host to members of luxurious bus owners Association at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. 
The visit was an opportunity for the police to strengthen the existing relationship between the Nigeria police and operators of luxurious buses in the country, this is with a view to enhancing security arrangement for both travelers and luxurious bus operators, a measure aimed at checking the flow of small and light arms in and around cities in Nigeria.
     The group led by its president, Sir Dan Okemuo used the occasion to eulogize the IGP’s giant strides at tackling criminalities in the country, while seeking intervention in curbing attacks on its buses and passengers, along routes within the North Central and Zaria Kaduna axis, and  pledged  support for the safer highway patrol programme of the police.
     The police boss in his remarks assured the group that the problem of Armed Robbery along the reported routes will be tackled head-long.
